The other day, Benedict Cumberbatch came to the stage door at the Barbican in London and urged fans not to take photos or videos during performances. He is currently playing Hamlet and tells fans how mortifying and disruptive it is for performers to see those notorious red lights in the auditorium.
Apart from the obvious points of theatre etiquette / manners and appreciation of live performances, have you experienced any particularly disturbing “fans” taking videos or photos OR any special ways of dealing with them?
